Much has been said and written about the New Age. But do we know exactly what it is? First, it is a buzz word that includes just about anything out of the ordinary, traditional way of doing things. I liken the start of the New Age (at least my awareness of it) to 1965 when the Beatles came back from India with their gurus.

It also refers to the Age Of Aquarius, the beginning of which many Astrologers roughly place in 1965. In the Age of Aquarius we will know for ourselves who we are and where we come from. We will discern our own Truth and it will come from within. Jesus ushered in the Age of Pisces, which was a time of traditional values and structures. This New Age is turning away from structures someone else built and demanding that we build our own. Many of the more vocal religious leaders are predicting the Second Coming of Christ. If He comes, it will probably be through the hearts and minds of each of us, rather than His incarning again.

Jose Arguellos created the August, 1987 Harmonic Convergence in his book The Mayan Factor . According to his studies of the Mayan calendar and culture, the Earth passes through a "Galactic Wave" every 5225 years. August, 1987 was the beginning of the last 25 year cycle after which time we are to have our act together as a Race of people and have evolved to such as extent that we will be welcomed into the Galactic Federation. We have far to go. (That hardly does justice to his thirty years of study and 200+ pages in the book.)

Others claim that we are about to enter the thousand years of peace predicted in the Bible. I remember someone telling me when I was nine years old that the Bible said the world would go into a thousand years but not thousands of years. Even then I knew the world was many thousands of years old and what they said didn't make much sense, but it does seem to now.

There have been many unusual theories attempting to explain what we are entering, one of which I am going to relate.

According to the Big Bang theory of the beginning of the Universe, we live in an expanding universe. At some point in time, it will stop expanding and begin to contract back into a huge Black Hole which will then contain all physical matter. This new theory postulates that when our part of the universe (Earth) stops going outward (it happens at different times at different places of the universe) time stops. At that moment the veil which separates our human consciousness from the inner reality of Spirit is rent asunder and we have a breakthrough in Consciousness for those who are ready to receive this experience. We will know who we are and understand the nature of the universe and our relationship to it. Those who have not prepared themselves for this new, Spiritual awareness will not be able to handle the energy and will go crazy and die. This is the supposed Armageddon.

Now for an aside on Time. I define Time as the measure of the motion of matter through space. Time has no objective reality and does not exist outside this physical universe. The many channeled entities tell us that time does not exist. Then they tell us that the time is critical! Well, it does exist in this physical reality. However, we are Spiritual Beings and as such are immortal. When you are immortal, you have always existed and always will exist. YOU ARE and the only time is NOW.

Also, to further complicate things, Spirit and Thought can exist and travel outside of time. I have expressed the desire for certain information and have picked up a book to read. The information for which I was looking was in that book. I have waited until I arrived downtown to ask for a parking place. And I got it. I waited until the last minute to ask for a job with particular specifications. And it was there. All the complex maneuverings had already taken place AS IF SOMETHING HAD ALREADY KNOWN WHAT I WAS GOING TO ASK. The examples I can give you are endless, but a word to the wise is sufficient. No amount of my experience will convince you. If it is true, you will find it working in your life, too. Thought, spoken with power, travels in all directions through the twin illusions of time and space.

Now back to the important matter of the topic at hand. It is also said that we are about to enter the Fourth Dimension. So what is this Fourth Dimension? No, it is not a singing group. That was the Fifth Dimension. Let us look at it this way. We have three forms of matter. . .gas, liquid and solid. Is there (to be) a fourth? Are we going to develop it? Or are we going to learn to recognize it? Early Greek writers described the color of the Aegean Sea as green rather than the blue that it is. Scientists feel that since the time of those writers, the human race has developed the ability to see more colors WHICH WERE THERE ALL THE TIME BUT COULD NOT BE SEEN.

All physical matter vibrates to different frequencies. If you lower the vibratory rate, it becomes more dense. If you raise it, it becomes less dense. If a fan blade is stopped, you can see it. If you speed up the revolutions of the fan, it appears to disappear. (Sorry, pun intended.) Maybe we will increase our vibrations and gain the ability to see things that exist on the new vibratory level that were there all the time but we could not see. (I still don't understand how we can see through glass. It is a solid. Although scientists say that nothing is truly solid. Even though we cannot see it, it is still there.)

Space Brothers are those higher level beings who have come in their space ships to witness our evolution to this higher consciousness. Their vibratory frequencies are much higher than ours. Therefore we cannot see them. Occasionally they lower the vibrations of their physical bodies and of their space ships and we see them.

I am by nature a skeptic, but there are two things I have always believed. The existence of Atlantis and UFO's. We have enough hard evidence of UFO's that we should be able to believe in them. However, I agree with Stan Gooch in his book, The Paranormal, that everyone is skeptical of psychic phenomena until it happens to them.

The Fourth Dimension is a change in consciousness which will allow us to experience reality on a higher vibratory frequency and see and perceive all that goes on and exists on that level. Perhaps it is a change in focus. We all have overlooked things because of the focus of our attention. There were bells in the air but we didn't hear them ringing because we were too busy thinking about what to do at home or work. But they were there. We drove down the highway and were lost in our thoughts and suddenly we realized we had driven through a town and didn't even see it. But it was there.

Let us liken the first dimension to a rock, the second to a liquid and the third to a gas. We could say that each dimension gets progressively lighter in vibration. Each successive dimension also gets progressively easier to work with and shape. The fourth dimension is even of a lighter vibration and is easier to work with. It is closer to what we are used to working with as Spirits. In Spirit we create instantaneously with our thoughts. We think something and it is. In the third dimension we think something with our minds and it may take a while for it to take shape. We have an idea and then we have to create it out of the dense physical matter of the third dimension.

In the fourth dimension it is easier to create with our thoughts. Things happen more quickly. The energy of this dimension is much more amenable to our thoughts. Work with this energy to create the person you want to be and to create the life you wish to experience. The fourth dimension is flowing. It is a dimension of movement. Feel the flow and allow yourself to move with it.

What we think and do comes back to us more quickly in the fourth dimension. When we think love and peace we find them in our lives more quickly. We are able to grasp Spiritual concepts more easily. It is the dimension of Self awareness and Psychic phenomena. Intuition abounds. Telepathy, precognition and past life recall are available.

Dharma is a word which I have heard quite a bit lately, especially in reference to the fourth dimension. Defining it only as I have heard it used in context, it is the ability to be totally free of any past life entanglements; the ability to create in this life anything we want without limitation of any kind. Being in the Dharmic light is to live completely in the Now, having all of your actions come back to you immediately, seeing the results of your actions. Dharma is fourth dimension.

There has been a tremendous increase in public awareness of what we call Occult Wisdom. This is merely Truth which has become hidden over the years. There are those upon the planet who have always known of these matters. This increase in public awareness started in the mid nineteenth century with the advent of Spiritualism and the founding of the Theosophical Society (which publishes Quest Books). There were many potent societies and individuals active at the turn of the last century. They in turn have made much of this knowledge available to the general public. This knowledge consists of many things which do not seem so mysterious to many of us today, but were virtually unknown to the average Man of a century ago.

Such knowledge includes reincarnation, meditation, the study of dreams, seeing auras, predicting the future, instantaneous healing, communication with spirits, telekinesis, astral travel, etc. In studying these things, know that we have barely scratched the surface of all that there is to know. There is so much more to know that is currently beyond our ability to imagine. How to grow food during the winter; how to mend broken bones instantly; how to send thoughts and pictures; how to create heat with our minds; how to create cool air in the summertime; how to manifest food whenever and wherever we are hungry; how to live directly on Spiritual energy without the need for food or drink; how to turn lead into gold; how to levitate; how to read the Akasha and tune into Universal Mind and communicate with the Divine Intelligence which we call God; how to create flame out of thin air. The list is endless and infinitely larger than I could currently imagine.

All of these things we will be learning to do in the coming age. As we get back in touch with our inner reality and remember how to communicate with nature, we will learn these things. These are things which we already know. We have but forgotten them. The literal meaning of the word educate comes from the Latin, e duco, and means to lead out of. By harmonizing with Nature and our inner Selves, this knowledge will be lead out of us.

To me this is very exciting. In the New Age we are not going to forsake our material inventions, but will put them in proper perspective. If we were to lose all of our material knowledge and tools, then we would spend too much time staying alive. Great physical inventions are in our near future so that we will have the leisure time to pursue our Spiritual growth and awareness. Great things are in store for us. Know this and expect it.

So what about this New Age? It is about being who we are and being all that we are. It is getting back to the things which really matter. People are beginning to respect the Earth again. We are becoming interested in holistic medicine and in maintaining wellness rather than curing sickness. We are made up of natural chemicals and are insisting on feeding and clothing ourselves with natural items. We are developing abilities which have long lain dormant in the human psyche; the abilities to know, to see and to hear clearly. We are tapping into a Spirituality from which we came, recognizing that we are responsible for ourselves. We are seeing auras, remembering past lives, knowing things before they happen. We are loving, laughing and learning. We are turning on, tuning in and dropping out. We are finding out that we can turn on to love, tune in to our inner guidance and drop out of the material rat race and still have all we want and so, so much more.

Those of us who are ready will be allowed to experience this New Age. We have to make ourselves ready. We have to become Spiritually pure so that we CAN experience this new world. There is no judgment of others' readiness to be there. No low vibration Karma will be brought forward. So many are "burning off" their "negative" karma now. They may seem to be off the Path. They are merely off YOUR path, but on their own. People who do not seem to be Spiritual by your criteria may well be Spiritual by their criteria. All judgment must be left behind. It has no place in the New Age. There is no elite. There are no chosen people. All are called, though few may choose to come.

There is nothing "new" about the New Age. It is only the "next". Truth has always been here. It is at the heart of all major religions. Although the Truth in most religions has become occult (hidden). The persecuted have become the persecutors, persecuting others for that same Truth for which they themselves were once persecuted. (Say that out loud three times quickly!) A serpent eating its own tail.

The New Age comes from within. No one can tell you what the New Age is or what you are to do with and in it. Your New Age comes from within you. It is an expression of what and all that you are. It is a Soular Age--the expression of the Soul on Earth. To help bring it about, stand up and be who you are. Don't wait for someone else to usher it in. Own who you are and what you do. There is no need to preach, for there is nothing to preach. Nor is there a need to hide. The age of martyrdom is dead. The fact is, there is a need to NOT hide. Be open and honest in who you are. People respect honesty and will respond to you favorably and in like kind.

In my darkest hour of despair when I think surely I must be mistaken and misguided and none of this makes sense, I look at and listen to the children. And I KNOW we are entering the New Age. The children are its first citizens. They know things. They see things. They remember things. They are so open. They remember who they were in a previous life. They know why they are here. They know who is coming to dinner tomorrow, and they know what you bought for them and left in the trunk so they wouldn't know. And the young ones see your aura and they know who you are. Many of us have spent the last several years expanding our auras and making them more powerful and easier for others to experience. Babies look at us just above our heads, point and smile. They know. They know.
